With its short rails ALTEC has enabled the flexible and comfortable mounting of solar modules for many years. Now the successful supplier for photovoltaic substructures has launched an innovative further development of these rails on the market and literally lifts the mounting of solar systems to a new level. After the 22 mm high short rails, both versions are now also available with a height of 45 mm. They offer additional advantages in application and efficiency.
“Our higher short rails allow a better rear ventilation of the solar modules, so that heat accumulates less under the modules even at higher outside temperatures and their performance is maintained”, explains ALTEC’s managing director Markus Stehle. “In addition, the high short rails leave enough space for the mounting of performance optimizers under the modules. Thus they form the optimal basis for modern and efficient solar systems”. For the horizontal module arrangement on trapezoidal roofs ALTEC SD_Trafix H45 is used, for the vertical module arrangement ALTEC SD_Trafix-V-Select45 is used.
Fast and flexible assembly
The two new height variants also offer all the advantages with which the short rails made of light and corrosion-resistant aluminum are already recommended to numerous users. The short rails are screwed directly onto the high beading of the trapezoidal roof, which makes the installation considerably faster and more flexible. Since long mounting rails are not required, the position of the solar modules on the short rails is determined individually. Thus, the short rails can be used for any bead width and any module width.
Low material costs and simple logistics
By fixing the predrilled rails with thin sheet metal screws, no further pre-drilling is necessary and almost no drilling chips are produced. The low material consumption results in a good price-performance ratio and the short rails allow a cost-effective, fast and simple logistics.
